I lost my prehnite for a little bit, I was sad. I hadn't even worn it for awhile, I mean it was on me. I searched, and than one day, it showed up again, this was a few weeks ago. Now, it calls to me. :)

When I first started collecting crystals in my teens I had a small egg-shaped piece of cat's eye in a gorgeous shade of blue. I kept it on my desk and it would always catch my eye when studying.

Sadly, it got stolen. I had a visitor staying with us for a week who had been a childhood friend, but it turned out we didn't get along so well as teenagers and by the end of the visit we were relieved to see the back of each other. To add salt to the wound, she took my cat's eye with her, and as I'm quite a timid person I didn't confront her about it and haven't seen her since. Strangely my intuition told me she had taken it before I noticed it was gone! I was bitter about it for quite a while and haven't been able to find a replacement quite the same. It helped ease the parting eventually though when a friend of mine who is more familiar with crystals suggested that the girl who took it may have needed it more than I did. So I'll console myself with that knowledge and continue to keep an eye out for a replacement. If I'm meant to have a piece again, I'm sure one will find its way to me! :) As for the former friend, well, I'd like to think that if we met each other again now, we would get along much better.

I had a fist-sized piece of black tourmaline vanish about 8 months ago; it was as if it just winked out of existence.

Moved heaven and earth trying to find it; day before yesterday there it was, under the cushion of my small couch, as if it had been there all along, and yes I had looked for it there more than once.

I know everyone says they go because they need a break, or they've finished their work with you, or whatever, but where DO they go when they do this? Some other part of earth? Another dimension? Guesses? Speculation? Not important?
