White quartz usages

For several years now I have had the same two largish chunks of white quartz that I charge outside in the moonlight once a month (life permitting) and ask for Artemis to bless and fill with her highest vibrations, and put one on my altar and one on in my living room as a way to raise the vibration of the space. (I’m pretty much an eclectic witch.)

I was wondering if this is a common use for whitish/clearish quartz. I associate the white and clear coloration with high vibrations, and Artemis as a huntress has a strong energy that lends a bit of protection to the arrangement as well.

I am wondering if this is a common use for “whiteish” quartz? Are there perhaps better options? What do you use white or clear quartz for?

Hiya. The opaque white quartz is feminine and the clear quartz masculine. Personally I'd use Apophyllite in a grid to keep a space clear. Fuchsite for a room which is shared with others.

Smaller hand held pieces are easier to charge with body heat.

Let's see it was around the summer of '86...I was in Chapel Hill or Durham, NC - North Carolina, that's eastern shore of the USA.
While there, I was tracking down a couple I had known in '76, KCMO - Mid Western, USA.
That led me to a VERY classy, plush Cocktail Bar in the afternoon with a VERY handsome bartender.
He told me the whole scoop on my friends.

He had on a clear quartz necklace..I asked about it...This is what he said:
He got hit on every night,
( Oh in American...girls gave him their #.)
He was happily married with 5 kids!
BUT, as he drove the long distance home late at night he would think of these beautuful women.
When he wore the quartz necklace ---he did NOT!

I found this protection to be profoundly true!
How? Because ONE day, while visiting my mother I did not wear it! Yikes!

interesting takes. i don't know why i am commenting as i have nothing to add on the topic, except that for some reason or another, i notice that after more than a decade of crystals, i still do not have a classic clear or white quartz.

Interesting take miss Hepburn. Perhaps quartz crystals are somehow purifying? As in of destructive, instinctual urges, such as inappropriate sex/attraction? It would be interesting that I was drawn to these crystals then, as I have a history with these negative urges. (Don’t go thinking I’m a philanderer though! That is not what I meant!) The Goddess who assists me in charging these crystal’s, whom I mentioned, Artemis, is also considered a virgin and a symbol of women’s power as well as a protector of women, particularly young girls. I have a lot of inner child work left to do in this lifetime, so it all, in some senses, sort of weaves together? At least that is the sense I’m getting.


Snow monkey, could you explain to me, in the simplest and most basic of terms, like in a “for dummy’s” book, what a crystal grid is? I’m sure I can find information on them somewhere, but I figured I’d ask.

Well, there's no right or wrong way. It's basically for setting your intention etc. Some use quartz to charge/amplify the stone in the centre or conversely ~ like what I learned from a reiki website where the grid was to help clear the room for healing. The Fuchsite if I remember was from Judy Hall to help with boundaries, and to encourage others to take responsibility for themselves.

So like, when constructing a grid, you have to bear in mind the way the crystals interact or “modify” each other? Such as amplifying, or perhaps giving a different specific quality to the grid?

Yes, you can make it simple or more complex. I guess it would depend on the history etc. So I would advise treating them like a chapter in a story. Quartz is popular for programming. I use double terminated crystals in grids to keep things open. I guess that I accept all perspectives are limited, so to keep things open. But that's me and not with respect with someone else.
