Can God be remorseful?

This whole idea of being God and being perfect is very interesting and self empowering. But what about the idea of being God and NOT being perfect? What about the idea that God sins or is imperfect?

Do you think God would ever repent for His sins? Or feel remorse that He sins? Did Jesus ever show any remorse for His imperfections? Or any other God for that matter?

I do not think that I know of any God who repents or shows any remorse. It is a type of hypocrisy in a way. God ought to be aware of His imperfections.

I am aware that I AM God. Yet I also feel remorse and I do repent. God/Reality really ought to take a deep look at itself and consider if it actually IS perfect or if there is any room for improvement.

I think you're very hard on yourself Honza. Isn't it our ego that does the sins, not God or our true self.

God gave us free will and what we do with it is our fault.

Yes John, but don't you think it's helpful to try and figure out what part of our ego helps or hinders us (the hinder being the "sin" part)

Honza? This time I have no idea where you're coming from...
I believe you let your mind wonder freely to come up with God sinning.
Having no control of thoughts is the devil's playground, buddy.

Are you truly aware you are God?
Or is it an idea you have read about and makes sense to your mind?
Which is not a bad thing ---but being aware of this - is an entirely diff thing, no?

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

This is a somewhat childish idea of God. It places God on the level of some giant imperfect human, rather than an eternal unchanging limitless Being which allows all things to exist.

Do not confuse your Atmic nature and your personality. Atman is one with Brahman. Personality is an expression of Atman in form. It is personality which feels remorse and repents.

Again, this is a somewhat childish idea of God.

Possibly it is childish. But it is also an attempt to get God to be accountable for Himself. If God creates an imperfect reality or being (such as earth and people) then He ought to be accountable and share the fate of His creation.

No....to answer the first question.

Yes to answer the second question.

Still searching.
