That article is amazing Django! This is what I have been doing, Ive realised that although I try being positive, loving etc, sometimes I don't feel like that and I realise I need to get to the bottom of these feelings and to accept them so that I can accept myself as I am and start living an authentic life for myself. I know that I numb the pain with drugs etc and I have been saying I could do with a psychotherapist rather than a counsellor who doesn't really help you to get to the bottom of things and see how we work. So I am so glad to read this and actually know this is called spiritual bypassing! Also, blocking out the 'shadow' makes It become more sinister, I sometimes have some really violent thoughts and yesterday I just thought, oh that's my shadow probably desperate to be acknowledged and integrated; I am ready to do this now, I'm so happy the dream shows this and that you shared this information with me, thank you so much!

BTW dreams act as your personal psychotherapist if you can learn to interpret them correctly, they'll lead you into the dark areas and clear that space out over time.
