The idea of a collective cannot be experienced as there is always one other. You, or your awareness. The experience, I believe, is unity with oneself.

Yes, the separate me can and has had such an experience but the Real me is never out of that unity consciousness - even if and when I somehow fall back into personal separation from it. We are always unity consciousness but we can temporarily imagine that we are not. What a game!

The few replies here certainly give me the impression that my seconds/minutes of cosmic consciousness aren't mirrored in those very responses. CC experience isn't something that just 'happens', it's something that changes lives. It's not like turning over a page or something that happens occassionally or briefly.
Nor can it be explained because it happens on another plane or in another mind dimension, or something.
I 'saw' (I wasn't shown) the two simple things that create this universe. It was if I'd been invited to participate in an exhibition of wonderous understanding.
Physicist Professor Paul Davies puts it like this: We, who are children of the universe - animated star dust - can nevertheless reflect on the nature of that same universe, even to the extent of glimpsing the rules on which it runs. How we have become linked to this cosmic dimension is a great mystery. Yet the linkage cannot be denied. What is man that we might be part of such privilege...through conscious being the universe has developed self-awarness. This can be no trivial detail, no minor by-product of mindless,purposeless forces. We are truly meant to be here.

Observing,then being observed by something more powerful than you.
Realising you are that powerful something....Unity consciousness!

Yes many times...and now it is a near-constant underdercurrent...always suffusing me...and often coming to the forefront of my awareness.

This can happen at the personal level as well, where one experiences another's consciousness understanding the being, one with the other person, one mind. Have you ever experience this, where one experiences what the other experiences.
