oh boy oh boy oh boy, pretty excited to be posting this one. Straight from the classroom (literally) a 2015 lecture by former Harvard & current (as of this post) tenured Toronto University Psych. professor Jordan Peterson on the personality. This one features as a sort of intro into Jungian thought (although part 6 in the overall series). Bit of a treat if you ask me, students sitting there listening actually paid money like suckers to do so and you get it for free! Has to count for something (like education?)

I haven't listened to it fully myself yet, but 20+ minutes in and it's already getting good & probably may be challenging/controversial (even disagreeable?) to some. If you don't think this is in any way related to aliens or UFOs, personally speaking I would politely beg to differ with you there (and will elaborate on that if called on it).

And let's face it, even if it isn't, a lot of what i post in this thread takes liberties with just how broad of a stroke across i brush to cover the topic. But is anything really "off topic"? In the grander scheme of things? Think about it. Just not too hard. That or ignore me, I'm being weird right now. 1hr20min in length, would love to hear any feedback. Probably won't but hey I've accepted & am good with that atp.

Came across this guy during my ventures into the recent broohaha over Canadian law re: the use of gender pronouns. If you google him that would be the first thing you'll see, but that really is straying too far afield for my liking, least for my purposes here. Obvs. by now, while I don't call myself a Jungian, if you've been pages deep in the thread you can tell I'm a fan. That said, I've always found Jung incredibly dense in his more difficult work (to say nothing of something like his red book which I've only really seen images of online a handful of times) re-reading sentences several times slowly, scratching my head at times, etc. but also one of the most rewarding psychologists to read in a real sense (again imo).

Gets into Piaget & Nietzsche so far also, other lectures avail. on his channel, several others all involving Psychology.

-edit- oop, happy to see I've excluded a Part 2! of the lecture on Jung (1hr14min). Working on the theory that more Jung is always better than not enough (fr. those seemingly more or less qualified enough to speak intelligently on him at any rate).

While I'm at it, this I found quite eloquent, 13min Ted Talk by the wonderful & beautiful actress (actor, to be proper i guess now w/ the term) Thandie Newton (<3 <3 ) whom I now have a new found appreciation of after listening to in this; called 'Embracing Otherness'

I tried to keep up, and believe me it took a video pause or 2 to do it; but in staying with his train of thought i find he really comes around in the latter part of the interview with some sublime, deliciously uncomfortable just so's (so to speak). Or it did for me, in any case.

Click on it if you dare, and I hope you do b/c personally found it quite enlightening, & slightly frightening. Agree w/ him or not; his brilliance is challenging to me, & i like that. I think. But also i don't? because it bothers me?

Maybe take it in increments as it is pretty lengthy, yt. saves your place usually anyways, but i do highly recommend checking it out. If you can punch holes in his theories all the better, that's what I've been attempting to formulate myself, and think I may have a couple leads, but regardless; real talk right here in my opinion.

His book (and a university course he teaches) is called 'Maps of Meaning' for anyone interested, also lectures fr. said course avail. on his yt. ch. His self authoring course for example apparently has a high rate of success, so it's not all talk; his methods (allegedly) produce positive net results, which is an important point to make i think. Honestly I'm dying to know what he'd make of UFO/paranormal phenomena, and as he did teach at Harvard I'm also curious if he knew Dr. John Mack, who also worked and taught there, whether or not their years at Harvard overlapped or whether he's looked at anything along those lines.

Watching a lecture I was just about to post here in the thread, a 2014 lecture by Martin Rees, 'Our Universe & Others', fr. vid description,"Public lecture from the mini-series "Cosmology and the Constants of Nature" from the "Philosophy of Cosmology" project. A University of Oxford and Cambridge Collaboration.

If you pause the ^ video at 11:11 you will see some interesting alignments betwixt the two (picture on slide fr. vid vs. thingy on the rocky hill on PKD book cover, same cover on my book). Also note sub-heading on slide & title of book also in near perfect conjunction. Talk is 50min. total length.

Addendum to the synchronicity; the title of the telescope on the slide/picture in the 'Our Universe & Other Universes' lecture is, 'E-ELT : The European Extremely Large Telescope'.

Funny you should say that, I was just coming here to post the very thing (albeit 2nd hand evidence) I've come across a good resource at archive.org for some ufo stuff.

Sort of hit a semi mother load in terms of witness interviews, first link is, 'Cops & Saucers: Law Enforcement And UFO's 1957 1981 Guide'
