Dr. Mikao Usui:

Each of us has the potential of being given a gift by the divine, which results in the body and soul becoming unified … a great many people will experience the blessings of the divine … Through it, the human being will first be made healthy, and then peace of mind and joy in life will be increased’.

Albert Einstein:

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mystical. It is the source of all true art and science.

Mark Twain:

You can't depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus.

Thanks

I didn't have much of an imagination as a child, and now, at 28, I am opening up to having one. It's been interesting.

If we continuously maintain self awareness, we will be able to experience peace and happiness. ~ Amma (Mata Amritanandamayi Devi).

As soon as you honor the present moment, all unhappiness and struggle dissolve, and life begins to flow with joy and ease. When you act out the present-moment awareness, whatever you do becomes imbued with a sense of quality, care, and love - even the most simple action. ~ Eckhart Tolle

And thoughtless awareness is nothing but such a pouring sense of joy - joy which is neither happiness or unhappiness, but singular. ~ Nirmala Devi

The most beautiful moments in your life – moments of bliss, moments of joy, moments of ecstasy, moments of utter peace – were moments when you were not thinking about anything. You were just living. ~ Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev

Happiness is self-generated as the mind becomes still. As we become involved with the desires of the world, we lose that centering, that stillness. ~ Dr. Frederick Lenz

Whenever your mind becomes still there is happiness and enjoyment, and each time the mind is shaken then sorrow, tensions and worries surround you. ~ Anandmurti Gurumaa

There is a presence within you
that has never suffered.
It lives in joy that has no cause.
It is who you most deeply are.

~Jan Frazier

The Self, our Being, is awareness. - Sri Muruganar

Nearly all mankind is more or less unhappy because nearly all do not know the true Self. Real happiness abides in Self-knowledge alone. All else is fleeting. To know one’s Self is to be blissful always. - Ramana Maharshi

“Man’s search for happiness is an unconscious search for his true Self. The true Self is imperishable; therefore when a man finds it, he finds a happiness which does not come to an end.” - Ramana Maharshi

This world is trapped in the well of suffering. What is this suffering due to? This suffering stems from ignorance of the Self. All suffering in this world is because of ignorance. This ignorance leads to raag (attachment) and dwesh
(abhorrence) relentlessly and suffering is experienced as a consequence. Only Gnan can cure this suffering. There is no other remedy. Gnan insulates you from suffering. -- Ambalal Muljibhai Patel

Purpose of suffering is to connect you to your Self (Awareness). It indicates that you got carried away by all the transient things around you. - Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

"The only evil is ignorance, unawareness, failure to see our authentic identity. To the degree that we learn to live from our true identity, our pains and follies fall away, to be re- placed with peace and wisdom." – Vernon Howard

Awareness is who we are and forgetting that leads to suffering. - Vicki Woodyard

Suffering always runs along the tracks of mechanical thought, so by permitting consciousness to interrupt mechanical thought, we learn the secret for ending suffering. - Vernon Howard

Happiness is the function of your consciousness when it is awake, unhappiness is the function of your consciousness when it is asleep. Unconsciousness is your mirror burdened with much dust and luggage and the past. Osho

To live unconsciously is to be in hell, and to live consciously is to be in heaven. - Osho

One unseen contradiction in our own consciousness. Only our awakened awareness can end the heartaches inherent in remaining spiritually asleep. - Guy Finley

When you are suffering, when you are unhappy, stay totally with what is Now( present moment awareness). Unhappiness or problems cannot survive in the Now.- Eckhart Tolle

Thought alone, when it is no longer connected with the much vaster realm of consciousness, quickly becomes barren, insane, destructive. ~ Eckhart Tolle

When scientific or rational thinking is grounded in presence it has a completely different outcome. It can never be monstrous. ~ Jean Klein

The average man is ruled by the explosions of his emotions, and cannot think clearly. - Yogananda

Conflict is always emotional. – Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Emotions arise from thoughts which arise, in turn, from foundational belief structures about the nature of Reality and your own innate identity.- Metta Zetty

The conflict in the world is not between good and evil, as is so often projected. The conflict is always between one man’s belief and another man’s belief, whether it is within the family or between nations. The moment you believe something, you are in conflict with the opposing belief. You can postpone it with moderate talk. But conflict is inevitable. – Jaggi Vasudev

Ego is complete identification with thought and emotion. – Eckhart Tolle

Be aware that what you think, to a large extent, creates the emotions that you feel. See the link between your thinking and your emotions. Rather than being your thoughts and emotions, be the awareness behind them. – Eckhart Tolle

Vedanta contains eternal truths that are meant for the entire humanity. Their knowledge is neither emotional nor intellectual, but represents the actual reality that is. It teaches us that preoccupation with the past and the future makes for an agitated present. And as our actions are the greatest expression of our thoughts, it is not surprising that the world we live in is as turbulent as it is. -- Swami Purushottamananda

Emotions and even thoughts become depersonalized through awareness. Their impersonal nature is recognized. There is no longer a self in them. They are just human emotions, human thoughts. Your entire personal history, which is ultimately no more than a story, a bundle of thoughts and emotions, becomes of secondary importance and no longer occupies the forefront of your consciousness. It no longer forms the basis for your sense of identity. You are the light of Presence, the awareness that is prior to and deeper than any thoughts and emotions. -- Eckhart Tolle

Walk into a situation consciously and you will be able to walk out of it harmlessly. - Vernon Howard

Everything will turn out successfully when the mind is not agitated. - Yogar Swamigal

If I am agitated, I am wrong. - Vernon Howard

Self-awareness tells you at every step what needs to be done. ~ Nisargadatta Maharaj

When every action of yours is preceded by witnessing (awareness), then every move you make in this world becomes perfect and significant. ~ Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

If you maintain mindfulness you will unmistakenly know what to do and what not to do. Thus clear awareness is most important; it is your inner Buddha. ~ Garchen Rinpoche
