Learning to read cards for others

I've been learning to read oracle cards for myself and would like to read cards for others but am not sure how that should happen. Lets say a person sits across from me and picks their card, do I read it as I would read it for myself or do I turn it to orientate as if they were picking it? Should they sit beside me? I usually spread the cards for myself so should I turn the deck and spread it out for someone across from me?

Everyone has their own preference, for me I have the cards orientated for me as I'm the one interpreting them.
As for where the sitter should sit, I prefer them to sit facing me (a personal space thing) but have read with people sat beside me.

I do most readings online so cards face me but even face to face ones I 'read' the card facing me. Not really thought to do it the other way. To be fair, the cards (oracle not tarot) are used only as a prompt - I look at the symbols that show themselves to me but let my clairvoyance take over.
