Angel1 when we go home

I was just thinking when we completed our lessons here and go home, its a happy time but here is what is making it weird for me......help me understand this if you can.....but when we pass on how will we even remember what the afterlife holds? As I sit here today I have no memory of it so even though it sounds really nice there how will I ever remember what it feels like if I keep coming back?

Im sorry if this is confusing as I am totally confused myself

I imagine it to be somewhere that you remember when you get back there, if you remember what it was like whilst you're on a "journey" it could taint your experience so you temporarily forget in order to learn whatever lessons are needed in this lifetime (or the next, or the one after).

I understand your confusion. I think maybe we get small glimpses of it in dreams or lucid dreaming. I think maybe if you ask nicely before you go to sleep tonight that maybe someone will show you a small glimpse.

There is no doubt you will know it when it is your time to experience it ...
I believe it is the same euphoric feeling of absolute joy & serenity I felt at the time of my husband's death ...
My mind didn't register he was talking to me from spirit ...
Following his instructions of going to sleep b/c I had a big day tomorrow I happily floated off to bed ...
I learned of his death about 7 hours later when wakened the following morning by a police chaplain standing at my door to inform me ...

The reason you keep coming back is to complete spiritual lessons ...
Never ask for what you are not willing to accept in return ...

Actually you are already home, this life that you are living is part of your home, just as if you went to any part of the earth that is geographically named and divided. You maybe in France, or Australia, but you are still home on this planet, likewise this life of your's is part of the whole, which is Consciousnesses, or God if you like that word, there is nothing really outside of God, there is only God.

consciousness is like ink thrown against the wall. it starts as a big blotch in the middle, and then spreads out into smaller and smaller branches until it stops at tiny points. human life is only that point but consciousness is the ink as a whole. but the body distracts you so that you only focus on this point. in death, you leave the body and experience higher consciousness, where all those points become one. any person you know is just an ego creation which is lost in death. but in memory of your husband you felt great love, which is just another word for consciousness, and in your hightened consciousness you felt that unity of being.

I don't even think we are meant to forget the spirit-life. I don't think it's some master-plan to make sure we do, or anything like that. I think we end up forgetting because we get so immersed in the challenges of living here. The distractions of our lives focus our awareness, and by the time we finish our tasks each day, we are usually so tired we fall into a deep sleep, so we often don't have much time or opportunity to get into the "zone" for remembering.
As an example....while I am working on doing my tax return, there is no way I can manage to recall, in detail, or in atmosphere, what it feels like to be walking on a sunny beach, or that special atmosphere of the woods at twilight...I just can't manage to recall those things at that particular moment, and can only do it properly when I've finished doing my tax return.
