The Turkey That Ate Christmas
It was such a feast
Everyone was hungry
Some came for the blood?
Some for a gift
Some for solace
Most just wanted to feel
The spirit of Christmas!
I don't truly know why
We need to kill that turkey
As these celebrations
Become our long lost altar
And there within the feast
For our eyes only!
Our fattened bellies filled
I will take some cranberries
And a big slice of Christmas cake
Gobble it up
And give thanks!
Tis the season to be merry.
