Yep. If you have plants in or around your home, they are there. They will sometimes appear as small orbs of light.

fairies are found near rivers and lakes.The fairy ritual shall be done in open air and at 12 am.

They are very far away from any towns cities, or over crowded population. They live in a very natural quite garden, forest, rivers, etc. Some said that if you want to see them or ask for advice, you should do some good deed for the environment first. Like if there's any trash then you should clean it up, help some injured animals, or if you see a stranded baby animal then you help them, so on. Only then, the fairies will gladly help you. Unless, you do have positive intentions already or a pure heart, the fairies will notice that. They are very joyful and loving, but it seems that they do have emotions similar like us. I'm still not sure. But I do know they're not like angels, which are ego-less, very omnipresent, etc.

Thinking back to when i first encountered my Faerie guides, I remember that they mostly made themselves known when I took time to sit quietly and relax. They preferred to communicate when there were fewer distractions. I also remember being woken in the middle of the night a few times. They like to be playful and were willing to communicate more if i was able to let my inhibitions go and play their games with them.
Over time i became more attune to their energy, and sensing their presence became easier. If you want to draw Faeries to you there are a couple of tricks you can try. Here are some things which have worked for me in the past.

Put out a small offering at night, such as small pieces of bred with honey or real butter. Faeries are said to like anything with a natural sweetness and often love dairy products, as they are associated with fertility and growth.

Place plants, crystals, interesting rocks, or other natural objects you may find in your room. This brings some of the natural wild energy of the outdoors inside and makes them feel more at home.

You could also try just asking them to let you know they are near, and then sit quietly for a few minuets and pay attention to what you feel, and what happens in the space around you. Sometime you my notice a flash of color or movement out of the corner of your eye.
