ms hepburn,
this thread is so much fun - these are all for you

Life is hard. After all, it kills you.

If you want to sacrifice the admiration of many men for the criticism of one, go ahead, get married.

Why slap them on the wrist with feather when you can belt them over the head with a sledgehammer.

If you obey all the rules you miss all the fun.

Wonderful page, I really liked all the quotes people have shared!

Here is my favorite one: When the Lamp of Truth is lit darkness vanishes by itself. - Swami Vivekananda

Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! And can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your span of life? If then you are not able to do so small a thing as that, why do you worry about the rest? Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these. Ah, so many more. Great topic

thanks these are really beautiful and thought provoking. I have jotted them down in my personal diary

Fulfillment has nothing to do with circumstances.

Kindness in words creates confidence.
Kindness in thinking creates profoundness.
Kindness in giving creates love.

Lao Tzu

If you are depressed, you are living in the past.
If you are anxious, you are living in the future.
If you are at peace, you are living in the present.
