Meditational stillness

[Unseeking Seeker]

Thoughts slowed down, intuitive attention accentuated, as an observer observing the observed, nonchalantly alert, in the continuum of now-moments, we are in meditation.

At the first stage we experience peaceful quietude. The next level enables us to experience the divine energy in a wave form, until we self realise that the waves arise because of our own attention that is unsteady. After that, we may be able to shift our attention across different energy receptors or chakras as they are called, even identifying that the manifestations become more subtle as we shift our attention effortlessly from the lower chakras to the higher at the head level. As we move along this path, after initially experiencing the ecstasy of the divine energy within our body, which also expands our consciousness, we become aware of the divine love attribute, imbibing it and becoming as of it, to some measure, as of our capacity.

Then, with practice, we are able to attain a stage of meditational stillness within, akin to the first stage of meditation quietude but with the difference being that we flow as one with it from an elevated fulcrum of awareness. We may term this as a stage at which we plunge into the divine current without fear and also allow the divine energy, in an aspect of childlike trust, to take its own course, as ordained by the Universe, to work upon our consciousness with a view to awakening it. In other words, we become a non-doer to a greater degree, accepting but not yearning for higher levels of endowment, if and as and when they unfold, in a manner and at a time as decided by the Universe. We are an unseeking seeker.

This meditational stillness then becomes more frequent, in that we may egolessly consider it as a default position of our consciousness except for the time when we are gripped in Tamasic stupor, from where our gross ego may arouse our dormant lower nature and hijack our attention to engage at that level. These are evolutionary challenges which are best met by simply recognising them with humour and erasing them constantly. Of course, this presupposes that we often contemplate or to use different words, observe ourselves as an observer, akin to a director backstage steering the actor on stage, both being us.

Back to meditational stillness. With it, in it, as and one with the divine current, we are dissolved and yet distinct, free flowing and unfettered, equal in both the eternal internal as well as when engaged in the ephemeral external, observing and experiencing the offerings of the Universe, there being insufficient residual egoistic energy remaining, which may opt for any personal preference for a different circumstance than what is automatically assigned to us in the continuum of present moments by the Universe.

Meditational stillness. Let us, in being, so become, making permanent this state, rising far above the reach of the lower gross frequencies. Doable if we do. With divine assistance.
