Question - Where to get real Turquoise?

I am looking for good healing stones and read of Turquoise being the one. ON ebay there are not many. THose that are seem not real. ANy tips of finding the one? thanks

Yes, most all of the turquoise on the market has been treated, because real turquoise is soft, porous and usually white, pale blue or green.
What we can get is stabilized and coloured crystal, or as shallow crusts on the surface of rocks.
Even the ancient civilizations couldn't use it without creating them into a paste, which was then dyed and heated.
There are some gem grade specimens, but they are very rare, really unlikely to find.

Hello

I would not trust getting it off line, if you want the real and most times "raw " stone I would seek out a good quality shop. It is not easy to get without it being tampered with by man. Its not a stone you can get pure and hand in a chain or carry in your pocket. Thus it is transformed to use.
