How to post pictures and links

Can someone tell me how to post pictures saved on my computer and/or links in a post? Thank you! [Please consider my computer ineptitude and my advanced age ...I turn 62 this month, gulp! ) and keep it as direct and simple as possible. Don't assume anything, LOL! I'm a true computer dunce!

THANK YOU!!!

If you want even simpler, I tend to just copy and paste the web address from the top of the browser for links.

And for pictures, I use photobucket like admin suggested - once your pics are uploaded there, you simply copy and paste the [img][/img] code that photobucket provides for you.

Okay. I've tried to post pictures using photobucket on other forums, and it never works for me. I must be retarded! sigh...
Thanks anyway!

Nonsense! It might simply not be compatible with other forums. Remember that SF isn't other forums - give it a try :)

Hi LFH like kaere said 'nonsense' lol
Ok I will do my best to explain to you how to post a pic from photobucket.

Copy /paste the link for the image you have in photobucket ... then ...
Click on the little yellow mountain pic on the tool bar on this page (just under the blue 'undo' arrows ...then ....
You will see a yellow bar drop down asking you to allow a scripted window ... right click on that and select 'temporarily allow scripted window' ... then ...
Click on the yellow mountain image again and you will see a grey box appear in the left hand top corner of your screen ... then ...
delete whatever is in the space bar in the box and paste your pic link ... then
ok it and your image should appear on your posting page here ... it should work if I havent left out any steps :)

Thank you for taking the time to post that! I copy pasted it in an email to myself which I will later print out and work from when I have a picture to post. I appreciate your kindness! Everyone here is great

THIS IS A TEST!

I found another photo program easier to use... let's see if this works! This should take you to a photograph I snapped of Mt. Shasta the other day

Perhaps a direct copy paste might work also!

Let's see....

Doh !!

Well I followed sound's advice to the letter, but all I get on the post is a small box with a red cross in it ?
Then tried copy /paste direct from picture on photobucket, but got link above ??

Could anyone be so kind as to show me where I might be going wrong ..... what am I missing, how do I get a picture to show full size in post ?
