I had a very strange thing happen to me awhile back. I was in my room, my body just shook, and I don't know quite how to explain it, but there was this huge flash and I saw symbols in my mind. I know this sounds weird, but now I'm trying to figure out what the symbol was and have been looking up ancient ones online. There are so many its hard to know where to start searching. If I had to describe it, it was a bit like the male and female symbols, but more like the male one, only the arrow was pointing in different directions with lines through it. Ring a bell? I can't quite remember it or describe it, but I think I would know it if I saw it. Anyone know much about symbols on here or ever had a similar experience?

I have heard of others having these types of experiences....

Do me a favor and conduct a Yahoo or Google Image Search for Metatron's Cube and see if any of the images that pop up resemble what you recall seeing...

I started getting these back in 2007. It would happen when I was asleep, but wake me up once it started. I still get them. I have no clue what they mean. I suppose it is a download for our spirit. I have searched the internet for the symbols and none to be found.

Metatron's Cube is a more specific form within sacred geometry;
i'd begin a search there. i agree with loved48 that these phenomena
may be linked to "downloads" for many people... i suspect that they are
related to communication devices, or transportation mechanisms, perhaps
with specific alien cultures throughout the cosmos.

You hit the nail precisely on the head. When the spirits aren't making themselves audible to me, my mind becomes full of symbols and symbology like these:

...and I've lately been getting into merkabah structure.

Anyway, the spirits also speak to me using sacred geometry and I get 'downloads' often.

The latest one was how to use Buckminsterfullerine to create teraherz rays and particles which travel faster than C.

Watching that short Gif you provided has images in it which I see in my mind's eye very regularly.

I also use all forms of technology and electronic gadgetry to measure all kinds of electromagnetic radiation, resulting in me hearing and communicating with an alien species.

That's interesting you mentioned Celtic Crosses because that's exactly what came to my mind after seeing the symbol wolfgaze posted...I thought to myself "Huh, that reminds me of a Celtic Cross/Knot"...
