it is normally really fast.. like a quick stab, like a sharp needle has just been stabbed into me and pulled out again really fast.

In acupuncture, the shock does not go on when there is no needle.

ok.. just trying to explain how fast it is, it is a split second "ouch!" then it's gone.

I realise this may not be connected to needle accupuncture, but it may be connected to something going on in the meridians.

never had toothache

imagine someone stabbed you with a very fine needle and pulled it out and it stopped hurting. very sharp, very short "ouch"

Sounds like meridian or nervous system firing, for sure.

It would not hurt to keep track but not to be obsessive over it. After all, you say that your mother has it also, has she noticed any trends in it - does it improve/worsen at specific times, etc ?

Norse... It's just been one of those things that has ALWAYS happened.. it could be weeks or even months apart.

Trag.. honestly, there are no other symptoms and I have had it since I was a kid. I really don't think it is an illness as otherwise I am pretty healthy.

guys, please don't make this out to be more than it is. I just wondered if it was connected to the meridians... it's no big deal and not signs of a terrible illness... honestly....
