It maybe cute and sweet what children say and do, but it would be hell for them if they could never grow up and become adults.

No argument there psychoslice. I just adore their innocence...so pure, so sweet.
It seems we have to lose it to be more in this world....

Actually I never wanted to grow up! In my early teens, when others were seeking out discos and becoming aware of their appearance and clothes, I was still playing in the streets with the gang.

Some think kids grow up too quickly these days, i.e. become sexualised increasingly younger and think grown up is where it's at.

Oscar Wilde said "youth is wasted on the young".

Yep I agree, and that is how I see the world also, I think that adult innocence is even greater, because a child has no options, but if they can carry their so called innocence through to adult hood, well that is truly something special,.

Overheard in a shopping centre - parent to sulky child..."now what's the magic word?" "now!"

When asked what Santa gave him for Christmas, the child replied "bugger all". It was actually Buckeroo!

Young children put on a nativity play at their school. Enter the 3 wise men, overdressed.
"I bring you gold!"
"I bring you myrrh"
The 3rd wise men looked flustered, held out the gift and said "and Frank sent this!"

My son informed me when he was in infants, that the Boston Tea Party was when Americans threw all their tea bags into the sea

Yesterday, with all the pomp of Margaret Thatcher's funeral, a child was wondering why it was all for an "ironing lady"!!!
