Repentance & remorse are essentially lessons we learn.

This guy is seemingly saying not to feel bad about your actions. Persuing ones own joy is simply another take on self gratification.

Repentance is very Catholic - I can understand not wishing to hold onto guilt for too long as its unhealthy but expelling it from your vocabulary is arrogant sounding.

This is worded like a self help book aimed at un wedded women who have given up children for adoption in the 1920's.

You misread the quote, but it's okay. I see where you're coming from, and I have no wish to argue.

Until you realise, of course that other people will have a 'problem' with it/you no matter which way you go and if you listened and took on everybody's criticisms or even 'good advice' one will go insane doing so.

Neither do I - you can give insight into the quote can you not?

I push back against posters presenting an air of authority - this is not what you are doing so please do not feel that my questioning is negative.

The mention of the crooked stem of a flower would indicate that what a person is sorry about is actually natural to them, would I still be "misreading"?

Yeah, I use to say and feel this to. Just wanted to mention there are different realizations that are opposite taking into account the process you mention. Mind and nature! I guess I had an opposite realizing and experiencing. I always wonder about these kinds of things realizing my life has been different then other's so the training (lesson) has been different. Even that realization took many year to see. I don't know I just no longer have conflict others do.
