Simple, all day Meditation.

Here's a form of 'meditation' or simple awareness that can be done from morning until night.

It doesn't necessarily mean 'withdrawing' from life in order to be better after the session is over, rather, a sense of presence whilst the activity of everyday life is immersed in, as it's happening.

Whilst the cat **** is scooped up ~ there is simple awareness/presence.
Whilst tea is being made ~ there is simple awareness/presence.
Whilst watching the news ~ there is simple awareness/presence.
Whilst thinking of going and formally meditating ~ there is already presence.

Whatever the content in awareness, which may come and go...there is already and simply awareness/presence.

The content may include working towards or acquiring 'greater' awareness which will all happen through the simple awareness/presence as is.

Watch what fills the space right here, and here, and here etc.

Observe whatever is,

Im with you on this bob. its beautiful and so right.

True meditation is about focus ing our awareness on a subject, to the exclusion of all else. but this is just a vehicle, a way of teaching us to draw our attention where it is needed to the exclusion of all else. The next stage , or a higher stage is to be aware of everything, a quiet open focused mind, taking in all and aware of everything. Bobs method above takes meditation out of the special meditation area and into your life.
The two combined will move people qucikly.
Too often people sit in meditation and then charge back into their lives leaving everything they just achieved behind in the meditation room. Don`t , please take that same awareness out with you.

Love pete

According to one sage, meditation is the shifting of attention to subtler and subtler levels of consciousness without losing a grip on those levels left behind.

This is not implicit in "Whilst tea is being made ~ there is simple awareness/presence".

Eventually, however, "Whilst tea is being made ~ there is simple awareness/presence".
