Flowers.

I believe in flowers.

Look for flowers and notice flowers are wonderful... and there are so many.

Give someone a flowers... or just one flower.

Oh, yes. I agree, Gem. And beautiful photo.

I recall one particularly bitter cold eve last winter walking into a Rewe and finding myself surrounded by lush, perky tea roses in many colors. A by-product, no doubt, of nearer, warmer climes. But so nice to see their gentle reminders of warmth and the colors of Spring on such a terribly cold day.

What I think is coolest about flowers and plants is the tremendous inherent energy and potential that is naturally stored in the seed that it grows from.
Magnificent design...........good job God!

Oh, I adore Anaïs Nin, Gem. A woman of constant insight.

Here’s my favorite poem by my favorite poet (and also happens to have a rose-theme, thus I‘ll stick it here):

somewhere i have never travelled, gladly beyond
by: E. E. Cummings

somewhere i have never travelled, gladly beyond
any experience, your eyes have their silence:
in your most frail gesture are things which enclose me,
or which i cannot touch because they are too near

your slightest look easily will unclose me
though i have closed myself as fingers,
you open always petal by petal myself as Spring opens
(touching skilfully,mysteriously)her first rose

or if your wish be to close me, i and
my life will shut very beautifully ,suddenly,
as when the heart of this flower imagines
the snow carefully everywhere descending;

nothing which we are to perceive in this world equals
the power of your intense fragility:whose texture
compels me with the color of its countries,
rendering death and forever with each breathing

(i do not know what it is about you that closes
and opens;only something in me understands
the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses)
nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands

The individual petals and magnificent color of the wisteria blooms always makes me think of parts of the self which are seperate but at the same time part of the whole, yet at the very core is still the gold of God's universal light and the white light of all that is.

Greetings..

Red Flower 2JPG.jpg

Yet, no — not words, for they
But half can tell love's feeling;
Sweet flowers alone can say
What passion fears revealing:

Moore — The Language of Flowers.

PS: i uploaded this image from my computer.. i can't seem to enlarge it, but.. click on the picture, i took it a while back, but the image has a certain feeling to it at a larger scale..

Be well..
