Nothing is eternal, in my view. The only exception I can think of might be change itself, and even that isn't certain.
Anyway, I think that they are many possible epiphanies.

If memory were eternal my job would be about 100 times easier than it is. It takes about 5 seconds for me to completely forget what someone ordered and then if I haven't written it down I have to go back to the table and ask again...

so enlightenment is basically seeing as clear as day.
