The Still Small Voice within~

A Divine voice brought this lesson upon me .......

Here is what I remember of it:

A man with a small cardboard sign was at the street corner, the same man I saw there yesterday.

I turned to walk a different way so I would not pass by him. A voice said "What are you doing?" , I stopped , chuckled and turned to walk to the man.

His sign said "Need bus money to return home"

I said "I have no money, but I have time, if you do not mind my company I will stay until you have the money to return home."

He laughed and said "I do not mind the company at all."

He chatted about how he came here looking for work but could find none. He told me of times he spent on an Indian reservation and how the Natives have such big hearts.

He needed $75 for bus fare and no one had yet stopped. It was cloudy and cold......... but then a hole in the clouds allowed the sun to shine upon us, I could only laugh.

Then something began to happen I had never seen before. People stopped one after another and began to give to the man. He was somewhat startled by it all , and I was learning of the interactive Power of the Divine. People stopped there cars , some others walked over, some just smiled, but all gave up there fear ~
In an hours time he had his fare and returned home~

Hmm, same thing happens when I go to an empty table in a casino...all
of a sudden a crowd forms and they all start giving money to the dealer...

When I have 2 cars at my garage sale...everyone starts pulling up...
I may start sitting with panhandlers downtown...see if it does anything for them.

Racer X - After reading your story it made me wonder if after the sun shown down through the sky if people got the sense that they were being watched by their higher power/maker. It's just odd to me that their behavior changed when the sky opened up, but also too because they were more exposed to their peers as well. Seems like it's much easier to put your head down or drive away or when it's dusk when others can't see you. But there is a danger issue too. For myself I tend to donate during light hours.

I had a situation today where a sweet little boy scout caught me when I was going into a hardware store. I told him I didn't have a lot of money. He asked me for a checkbook and I said no. When we got ready to check out I saw how hard he was working so my husband pulled all his cash and all of mine. We came up with $6. while I purchased my stuff on credit he ran to see how much their cookies and popcorn was...$10 or $15. So we gave the little boy a $3 cash donation. It seemed to make him happy.
