Something you perceive is not a "sign" unless you're aware of it, and choose to recognize it as such.

It's very common to perceive something, dismiss it because it doesn't confirm your preferred reality, and then later decide it was a "sign," after all. But in that case you still perceived whatever it was, and were aware of it.

To be honest, your question doesn't really make any sense. Could you give an example, to clarify it? Maybe then I can give you a better answer.

Does it matter? You have your free will. You needn't respond to any sign.

In that case, I would guess that the signs aren't really telling you to "become a Christian," but rather to resolve whatever inner conflict you have that, at some level, you think might be relieved by becoming a Christian.

What does "becoming a Christian" mean to you, specifically? If you were to become this particular kind of Christian, what do you think you would get out of it? Community, giving you access to a shared spiritual language, traditions, and experience, which is easier to talk about than going it alone? A clearly defined path or structure for your spiritual life? Clear answers to your questions about reality and existence?

I was raised totally secular, but I can understand the appeal and benefits of belonging to an established religious community, even though, when I look closer, I always decide, "Nah. Not for me." Because for all the benefits, there are also things you are expected to give up, accept, or turn a blind eye to, and I've never been able to do that.

So if it's really attractive, but you're resisting it, what are you resisting, and why? Is there anything you're afraid of? Is doing or becoming what you fear mandatory, or do you have other options you haven't yet explored, or don't yet believe exist? Do you perhaps need to look at other forms of "becoming a Christian" that are more closely aligned with who you are and what you already sincerely believe?
