Identification

You know what really amazes me, is our identification with our own thinking. As if, is some way, it's reality.

Are your thoughts reality?

Or are they just a commentary, an interpretation of reality?

What is reality?

Just LOOK and see.

An interpretation of reality is still reality. Worded differently, I suppose. I think thoughts have to be interpretations, as we are experiencing an object or a thing in our mind and therefore we assimilate the words to explain it.

Reality too is a mental derivative from something else. What, I'm not really sure.

I have a better question.

How come you don't put it on a bun? A few bites, it's gone.

What is your point?
What have you looked and saw.............?
That there is no Din, no thoughts, no reality?
Is that your point?
If so, thank you for sharing..........

Very clever, first you devalue thinking, then you push my "think" button.

I believe one's reality doesn't necessarily reflect the ultimate reality, I think
in some cases it can be very far.

one's reality is based on the facts he knows, he who has all facts is god, thus
his reality is ultimate, and from where we are sitting, only a few angles are at hand.

But that's only what I believe.

To quote Faith No More "It's it"

That's what reality is. It simply is. And all conceptions or ideas fall short of it. Even your assertion that our thoughts aren't reality. Such a notion is no more well founded than the idea that there's anything other THAN thoughts.

Of course, stilling the mind helps us grasp things better and come up with a more clear picture of what really is there. But we're still enshrined within our minds, thus we can never have a truly complete picture of the world. And frankly, I don't think we'd want or need it. It'd make our heads explode (which I am sure some may think is a good thing lol).

And now - some words from our sponsors http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdcT0mtdg20

I've always wondered if the reality I see is the same you see. If what you see everyone sees. Wouldn't that be staggering. It might show how little we really talk about it.
