Ok...perhaps just a little diversion then

An ongoing theme Ive been noticing lately is the journeying in discussions away from the intitial word, into the avneues of relational meaning.

What is stillness....it is love and conciousness and direct contact with source ofcourse.

errmm...and silence?...it is love and conciousness and....yup, ok, I get the drift lol.

And imagination?.......nooooo...

Imagination simply exists as imagination. Is imagination real?...well only if we can call it love and be concious of it...dam...no thats source....well what is stillness....well thats love ofcourse....but isnt imagination love....he he

Sometimes its good to laugh.

Hi Portto
Is it imagination that runs amok or is it [imagination] simply faithful to our beliefs?

It's interesting that you would appeal to logic, while knowing that the only way to see this is to stop imagining.

I got this from Phroggy:
There is interest in both:
- diversions
- exploring concept boundaries to see their illusory nature

Imagination does the only thing it can do.

This isnt even really a logical issue. What you are saying is that there IS 'onbe being'. This isnt necessarily a problem. There is a problem in saying that there is one being and all other stuff is imagined. It sets up an odd duality and means that you think that the only things that are actual and real are 'one being' and 'imagination'. Can you see that different humans imagine different things?

If we were to stop imagining totally, there would only be seeing, but nothing would actually be seen!

All the other stuff is imagined to be separate/volitional/structured/individuated/etc.

Would you say that the act of imagining creates Portto? Or ... firstly ... is imagination an act in, and of itself?

What stuff though? Would you agree that humans imagine different things? In which case do you acknowledge the reality of human individuations?

We could say that imagination creates, but it's more like imagination is created.
Regarding your initial question, we can look at beliefs as though we are holding onto them, or we can look at beliefs as 'things' that hang by for a while.
