The only 'dark side' is our misconceptions that have been taken as beliefs. There's a saying; "If you want to understand Spirit you have to think like Spirit." This is humans thinking they think like Spirit and completely missing the mark. We are the Light and Love.

There is light (Spirit). That is the only side, the eternal Oneness. And there is human-created darkness behavior, yes. What stops the human being from engaging in dark egoic behavior? Nothing really, we are beings of free will.

That said, once the higher self is engaged in the process, egoic behavior falls away naturally. That's the light at work, Spirit's benevolent promise and our birth right if you will.

And if you think that the progress made in hundreds of lifetimes can get lost because of few things one has done in the current life then you just don't see the value of these things that happened ... and how they are part of the path.

This is so true. Darkness represents an absence of awareness about the eternal beings of light and love that we are. If in a given life time this illumination is missing, that experience most surely has value for the soul and its journey.

There is a small window of opportunity in which a person can fall from their high spiritual station. From what I've heard, if a person develops their spirituality to the point of posessing supernatural powers, astral projection and other cool stuff, and they abuse those powers to an extreme degree, then it is said that they can fall back down the scale of consciousness and become an animal in the next life.

It's not quite the level of master, a master is one who has surpassed this stage and reached the point of no return. so technically to answer your question, no, a person cannot reach the level of master and then fall backwards.


It's more common for a person to become deluded and believe they are a master, then when the evidence stops pointing to the idea that they are a master they begin to get depressed and believe they have fallen. the truth is they never reached the level of a master, only had a delusion of reaching it.

I've experienced this before. I'm not afraid to say it's a delusion or that I was deluded, I am angry about it though. I feel cheated. Whatever though, I didn't really try to become a master so it shouldn't have been such a shock. In the time though I felt like it was my lack of trying that made me exceptionally qualified.

Darkness is beautiful. When there is immense light, it can hold immense darkness as well. 'Darkness' is actually quite a teacher for most of us, and for the courageous few, its like riding a beautiful dark horse.
