Yes. I remember one in particular-- a very, verrrrry long 'in-between' period. Of having a different (though essentially spirit, yes) form within a chrysalis of red, black and purple nebulous...I don't know how to describe. A stasis, a feeling of being within the quiet, dark center of a perpetual storm. Fire and electricity.

And concepts like "starseeds" or "indigos" or earth angels don't really resonate with me. (...though I secretly sort of feel a connection to the notion of being of/connected to the 'fairie realm' whatever that may, in actuality, be)....Also, really, the popular new-age view of the soul can be a bit narrow at times. I see no reason why something as multifaceted and endless as the soul cannot be simultaneously be all manner of things in multiple different planes of existence, stretched and tethered all around, perhaps tethered more strongly to some places than others. So maybe some of us are only lightly tethered here to earth while the rest of our being is swimming around and working elsewhere in places we have always been connected to. (Not that the physical plane is necessarily separate from spirit, in general, since everything is spirit but you know.)

That's refreshing to hear someone else has had a long period of in-between time. Your description was quite beutiful, and I hadn't considered the possibility of a spirit manifesting as a nebula. It sounds brilliant, and I understand the difficulty of trying to describe those things with the English language.
I hadn't really considered that point you made, it does seem that the modern definition of a soul is a single energetic form attached to a single person, living more-or-less along a linear, single timeline. Reading what you said reminded me of a story I heard once - can't remember where - about a person who was astral projecting. They were taken to a place where peoples' higher selves are always awake, and visit sleeping people. They pull out of their heads what look like grey spheres, and clean them until they glow gold. Then they replace them. I believe they said they had the impression that the higher selves were always doing this for healing, where the grey represents injury of some kind, be it emotional, mental, spiritual, or physical.
