Playing Cards

52 Cards (weeks)
4 Suits (SeaSons)
13 cards to a suit (13 zodiac signs)

Aces High or Low (Duality 1st is Last - Last is First)
Roalty Kings of 4 quarters
Queen of spades is a %$&%
Bowers 2 Jacks are special

the quarters

Spades - Military
Diaminds - Business Money Corporate
Hearts - Love-Religion
Clubs - Government

2 jokers (god devil magicians) also the days of the leap year 8lost in the other 52 cards)

Q:

Why isnt the regular deck of playing cards as useful in divination as Tatot ?
I and others with me have had experiences beyond Tarot with this regular deck.

In chess the King & Queen represet Roalty-Government
The Bibshops religion

IIRC, our currently playing cards are a 'downsizing' of tarot cards.

From what I can remember, religion frowned upon the major arcana and so got rid of those cards. Hence we are left with today's playing cards.

I'm a bit rusty on the knowledge, but I know a man who knows a thing or two about Tarot - norseman. Hopefully he'll see this thread and will enlighten us both.

I don't understand what you are saying/meaning after asking the first question. You are saying a regular deck is not as useful on the one hand, but then saying you've had experiences 'beyond tarot' with a regular deck. What do you mean?

hi universa1ove and Squatch,

isn't there a name for playing card divination, something like Cartromancy or Catromancy ?

And each card has a special meaning ? I am thinking perhaps a slightly different meaning than is listed in the original post ?

1425 - playing card deck commissioned by Duke of Milan. They were called a Trionfi deck, later to become Tarot deck. They were playing cards.
Even in modern playing cards, the court cards are the equivalent to the major arcana. There is a card game that can be played using a current tarot deck, so there is no reason why the process cannot be reversed.

More info ? Check this http://trionfi.com

As a child I had a mystical experience with cards playing *hearts*
this expereince foretold future events.

Everytime I dealt I went for control and got it.
Everytime my friend dealt he went for control and got it.
Everytime his girlfriend dealt she went for control and lost it.
this process repeated several times with out deviation throughout the night.

Since then I have believed that regular cars must have as much capacity as tarot.
Certainly the 13 sets of 4 represent something.
Also the paradoxy of a n ace being the lowest ... yet capacity to outrank the king.
12/13 moons
12/13 zodiac houses

I doubt very much I am on the wrong track with this.

Cards [ tarot or ordinary playing ] act purely as a framework for your own intuition and empathy. Any message comes from the dealer/interpreter, not the cards themselves. Same with a pendulum.

I am trying to learn cartomancy, it seems quite mystical to me to be able to read just from pip cards. I also read tarot, but playing cards seem to have a bit more personality, because you have to really intuit through them. And it's really easy to get an initial feel for the spread, based on the ratio of red to black cards. It's the court cards that catch me up, I can't seem to get a hold on them. I've tried to equate them to the tarot face cards, but they don't seem to want to speak in the same way
