Prolotherapy Anyone!?
I've had dextrose Prolo on my right shoulder about 5 yrs ago and got relief for 3 yrs...I have injured shoulders from gym equipment. I could use more dextrose but I am managing ok with shoulders... Dextrose Prolo is the least expensive of the 3 types Prolo.
I had 2 sessions of dextrose for the OA knee I deal with and they didn't help....that was $300 for both.
So now I'm considering the PRP (platlet rich plasma) injections...these are your own platlets injected in the joint.....the lowest price session I find here in So. Cal. is $850. My pendulum says to do it, it will work and will only need 1 set of PRP injections.....
Then the most pricey type of Prolo injections is Stem Cells, which our own marrow is used for these injections....these run close to $2,000 a session. So that is not what I'm considering.
I've had a hip replacement and dealing with a lot of complications...and also bodywide OA.
Anyone have some results with Prolo work?
