Reports of a meteor flying over the Northeast coast.
Unfortunately I can't post links yet. >< Otherwise I would, but you can likely find it on NBC News's website.
This happened last night, around 8 PM, when most people are out and about on a Friday night. MANY people witnessed this and the video from the website captured what happened via security camera.
Apparently stuff like this (shooting stars and such) happen often, but something this big and said to be completely silent?
From what I'm reading, someone who saw it said at first it looked like a plane making a landing. Others said it looked as bright as the moon. Some said it streaked across the sky, others say it moved somewhat slow at first before speeding up rapidly.
Gotta say, this is really awesome. Upset I couldn't see it with my own eyes.
