"Christianity is not a religion."

You're right, it's a man made system of fear and guilt..

Why is that so extraordinary that it needs such emphasis, ?

In my opinion because most people read it but it does not register so they do not examine their religion and concept of God.

Well technically Jesus Christ was raised a Jew, I don't think he neccesarily wanted to start a new religion but he was preaching from the heart and set out to do what he felt he had to do, thus Christianity was born and named in his honor after his death. So yes in a sense it is a religion.

Every religion I've seen has people in it that think their religion is not a religion. In other words, 'We're not a religion like all the rest, we have the Truth(tm).' It's nice to feel so right, but don't forget that's the exact same thinking that causes wars and hate.

Thats so true, they can be very aragant, but in a subtle way that most can't see it until its too late.

Yes and then sometimes the contradiction becomes too much for people and they end up dead. The truth that i think I know and that I believe is the answer can always change. It's almost like a drug to help numb the pain. Knowing the truth never helped me much.
