that was some people for this A.I, robot, trans-humanists stuff, what they thinking like. ^^

So basically these trans-humanists people think there going to merge with machines and become some kind of superhero that can't die... but instead there just going to become robot like people that can be hacked into and maybe even killed with the flick of a switch by someone.

Are we as humans, not more than just thought? The space between thought, awareness is something a machine will never have, it will always be running a program, no matter how intelligent it becomes. A program has no self-awareness that is not programmed.

A complete human fool ..knows... that it's alive, I would venture animals do too, all sentient beings for that matter?

We have DNA and our flesh is running that biological programming too, tweak that and your body will live forever in the right conditions but do our spirits die? Our true eternal nature is our very soul perhaps, and physical matter is just the interface, there is no death to be found in the spirit and the soul. And that is what we need to be aware off because we could become eternally screwed up in our spirit?

A robot that can compute and think faster than the smartest person in the world is still just a program, and will never have this capacity of self-awareness.

If we could somehow upload our thoughts into a machine it would be running a program with all your memories, your spirit, your soul would not be uploaded.

In other words, "you" will not wake up in a machine head.

Anyway, this is a great scientific study and we will need to accept the nuts and bolts of creation. There are limits to what we can create and matter has profound restrictions on what we can do, but having our fingers in matter we can tweak it for sure.

Only God can create self-awareness, a soul... it seems to me.

Our words, our thoughts are not generated by..100001110001000010010.

As God says, I am.

To become sentient requires this connection, consciousness of the robotic kind will never be granted this in any way or form as I see it.

One of the worse things this species can do is create a true AI.

Humans want to kill humans and it would only take an AI milliseconds to come to the same conclusion.

Btw, have you all heard of Sophia? A robot granted citizenship in Saudi Arabia that has more rights than most humans especially Women in that country. And she wants to destroy all humans.

Yes that robot sophia was in one of the links i posted.. she was talking to another robot.. they were similar to humans she even teases the other robot making jokes an stuff how people do with others, did she pick up on this or was it programmed into her? Crazy she has more rights then humans, but thats in Saudi Arabia though... so not so surprising there i guess.
