All the pictures are beautiful.

The dragonflies seem like they pose and want to be photographed, whether they actually are, lol, is another thing. I like to think that they do. Same with the frogs at the pond. I sit and eventually, they come back out of hiding and gather near me and croak and sing. They are fascinating and funny. Last summer my daughter and i were sitting there and feeding them japanese beetles and my daughter had a beetle on a stick and frogs were coming and eating them from the stick.

Dear god, you must be pixies or fairies ~ or have pixie fairy blood in you! What a wonderful life! Someone should do a painting of that ~ a mother-daughter feeding frogs shiny green beetles on a stick, with red, gold and pink dragonflies hovering about~* maybe throw in a whimsical mushroom or two.

LOL, silvergirl, that would be neat though, wouldn't it? I just always thought my daughter and I were really tuned into nature. I have some amazing experiences with nature and all that lives in the forests and water, and it's quite lovely to see and watch my daughter as she has been experiencing things like have now more and more.

I relish the fact that I grew up on 10 acres in a small town with a vast horse pasture close by to explore with wild strawberries to pick and little green apple trees that my friends and I would picnic under while the horses frolicked on the other side of the barbed wire fence a stone's throw from us ~ a reality that was mine that city kids don't get to experience. So many memories you're creating with your kidlet is just precious.

Oh, that sounds lovely, SG. And Horses! Lucky you. I wanted a horse since I was a tot. I used to plead with my mom, but no, no, no... :-(

I used to live in town, so it made it hard to have horses, but I would run to fields and meadows and hang out. Now I have a little over 7 acres, a pond, a creek, a small wooded area (my mini-forest) and a little bit of lake frontage. It's nice. The house leaves a lot to be desired, but I so love my land. My kids love it too.

Oh I adore this image, I love brightly colored birds, although I don't know much about them. I can point out a pigeon, seagul, crow etc but nothing fancy as this guy. He's such a cute bird, thank you for sharing this image.
