Lilyth Von Gore, this is the second time I've seen a post of yours where you called someone ignorant. Please read the forum rules.

I read that "satan" means "Adversary".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satan
"Satan is primarily understood as an "accuser" or "adversary" in the Hebrew Bible .... Where satan is used of human enemies in the Hebrew Bible, such as Hadad ... "

I called his/her views ignorant. Not them.
However, I apologise because obviously I've caused offence in calling it as I see it.

It ought to be required reading for all "priests" and bible classes.

If religions were perfect there would be little need for faith. They are not. We, therefore, have faith in what they attempt to say to us. The fact of the imperfections in scripture caused by the hand of man should not cause us to abandon faith. It should, instead, strengthen it. We know that beyond it all great truths await and that there is, in spite of the meddling hand of man, a God who waits patiently and forgivingly.
