OMG Sarian, my deepest sympathy - yes, she is your mom.. sigh,
it only happens once that we loose our mom.
It will be a moment in time you will
press like a rose in the book of your memory.
:(

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

God, I am so sorry I missed this post and am only replying now!

Here's a link to his speech if you want to check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hd_ptbiPoXM

And here's a link to an article talking about his personality as a boss, there are tons more if you google them: http://technology.inquirer.net/5713/...-mean-manager/

I didn't read it from there, I read it from a local paper when he died.

Well, I can relate...if I was a boss right now, people would say something similar about me, especially if I had said them in a bad mood...otherwise I am an angel!

Not all destinies are positive. Some come here to act as a catalyst for social change--take Hitler (for instance).

I had a younger Sister--who was just too delicate for the ugliness in this world. She took her own life--in the end. I like to think that she came to bring her children into the world and that somewhere down the line--one of her decendants may make a difference in the world.

Peace and Love on your path to doing your own research and forming your own opinions...

Blessed be...

Wow, I am so sorry about your sister. I tried suicide myself when I was a teenager, fortunately I was very incompetent about it, I use that word because I am sure it is pretty hard to die the way I did it...luckily.

I am sure her children will make a difference.

Thank you

@Toolite: I feel like I bring more torment than happiness, but I don't think I am spiritually dead...
Although I guess the torment you mention is more of the murderers and such, type.

You need a change of environment. It is simply not true. Just like when police officers work with enough criminals, they can eventually decide that everyone is a criminal. Until they get put onto a job that involves working with people that are not criminals. They can once again regain faith in humanity.

So your just seeing too much of this, try changing who you interact with or some other such change and you will see the good ones that made it to a ripe old age and never lost their love for others.

Thank you!

On the change of environment thing, I feel I need to change countries, and I am trying so hard, just haven't been able to!

But even if it is in the same city, I totally get what you are saying!

Not incompetent--it just wasn't your time. You have more to contribute.

Thank you for your kindness and thank you for being here to share that kindness w/ others.

Our earthly lives are just for a season. And it's not the length (in years) of the life, but what you do with it.

As for your question, you have to view this from a spiritual perspective. Maybe a person does great work as a social reformer, or in service of the poor and needy.
Maybe even they incarnate as a child who dies young of some terminal disease, yet despite their pain and suffering always wore a smile.
Quite apart from any good they themselves may have done, by their virtuous lives, by their good example, they inspire many and lead such as those into Service. So through their life and death they have brought much good into the world and continue to do so long after they have gone.
Through Service the soul is advanced - and to advance the soul is the meaning and purpose of life. So even though their earthly life may have ended abruptly, even at a tender age, their life was a glorious thing and in the spiritual context, not a "tragedy" at all.

PS: As for those foolish enough to choose to walk the path of evil. Life is governed by certain eternal and inescapeable spiritual laws. The main one being that our actions have cosequences. 'The present makes the future' is an expression you may have heard of.
Some people may get away with doing cruel & evil things, or seemingly so, but it will all catch up with them at some point, in this life or the next.
