A Good Cheap Place for Long Meditation Retreat

Hi All

I am looking to do a 3 month retreat somewhere quite cheap perhaps in Asia and I wondered if anyone knows of a place ?

As I have my own practice and routine I would not like to be in an organised centre or ashram.

I can spend about £7/ $8.50 day including food and would like my own room rather than a dorm. But it does not have to be anywhere famous or popular or full of tourists.

Just a nice guesthouse somewhere quiet perhaps somewhere where you can do some outdoor walking or coastal spot. Not city, cars, traffic. And somewhere not freezing - the mountains are cold in winter.

Perhaps somebody has stumbled on a good spot, I would be grateful to hear.
