Astral Travel is Evil?

There is nothing inherently "evil" about astral Projection or astral plane travel. These are two totally different things though. Astral projection is the term we use for traveling via our astral body, upon the physical plane. There is really no Spiritual purpose in this...in no way does it aid our evolution.... and as some have noted it does make one vulnerable . (though it's a mistake to believe that those vulnerabilities are External to us...... with our astral bodies and upon the astral plane..... there are certain Laws. The Law of Magnetism is one of these.. It's all about magnetism and frequency... The "demons".... are of our own making, or you could say are resonant with our own demons....... I choose not to fear that which is within me, but rather Love it and set it free.
But as I said there is no really good reason to astral project and the desire to do so generally resides in.... what you might term....ego.
Then there is astral plane travel. This is different than the projection....very different. When we die the place we travel through ....is the astral plane.
I've spent a lot of time in this and my previous lifetime actually going through the Death Process (without cutting the cord that binds us to our bodies).... There is very good reason to do this, but not without Teachers to guide you. Travelling upon the astral plane you have quite a few possible....hazards.
First of all there are the Heaven and Hell realms... The Heaven realms are very enticing..... but are a distraction from our true purpose which is to evolve. The Hell Realms you could say, SUCK. And if you "pull into" one of them...... you can spend an eternity there (though in our time it's a blink of an eye)...and that can cause some serious problems. Third, and this is more rare and actually little known...but we have an energetic reflection on the astral plane, it's like a "Shadow" of who we have been. I call them "Constructs" (Ghosts are souls who upon dying turned and gazed at their Constructs") If we do this while we are living it can greatly hamper our evolution........ And one other thing we can encounter is the Constructs of others, which depending upon how they resonate with us, can greatly distract.... and I suppose if we are travelling in a fairly young astral body (not very highly evolved) , we can encounter dark entities. So all this is good reason NOT to do it.
HOWEVER if you can find....well, if they find you, good teachers who know the ropes .. this practice I ended up calling, "Yoga of the Death State".... can greatly enhance your evolution. You can virtually evolve as though many many lifetimes have passed, in just a few minutes. (this can also be a downside as those who have known you your whole life....will no longer know you).
But here's the deal as it was taught to and practiced by me. I'm not going to go into great detail because I don't want somebody to venture out there .....without an escort that knows the ropes.... I personally am a poor student, I don't take limitations in my instruction very well and break the rules more than I follow them, and so many times if my Teachers were not around to literally pull me out of...... some crazy *** places.... I have no idea what would have become of me.
But basically Yoga of the Death state is going through the death process....but not dying. This takes place on....and more importantly THROUGH the astral plane. Because the main lesson when doing this, when doing astral plane travel....and when dying, IS..... don't doddle. Don't be distracted from the "Light on the Other Side"..... The heavens and Hells and Constructs of our dearly departed and our own constructs are to be totally avoided. When people have near death experiences and believe they see their long dead Grandmother...... 99% of the time it's actually their Grandmother's Construct. It is useless, it is the past..... We do encounter actual souls of our Soul Group, but that's not here on the astral plane and doesn't happen until we pass through it. So, I'm going to tell you right now, in case any of you are silly enough or accidentally venture out there....and Everyone of you who will die someday.... This is the RULE for optimal EVOLUTION.
Keep focused on the Bright little Light on the other side, there will be many distractions (the astral plane is after all sometimes called,"the plane of desire").... but don't waver, keep an intense focus on that Light. The Law of magnetism will pull you there...keep the focus. Then it'll be like you step out of this dark tunnel into a vast Lightness....and suddenly you dissolve. The most important thing now is to remain there in that Light as long as possible..... Just enjoy the Bliss. The longer you stay, the more you evolve...... And actually these days, for reasons I don't have time to go into now....... that Light is Amplified like no other time in the evolution of this Creation we are part of. It's massive evolution now..... So there you have it. The key to a most ....evolutionary Death.
But going there without teachers....and astral projecting, really have no ....... spiritual purpose.

What makes you so sure he is wrong exactly? I am not saying he is right, in fact I agree he is wrong generally, but maybe he is just generalizing too much. Meaning that he might be hung up on the religious aspect but while the practice itself is not evil, that does not mean he is incorrect that you can be attacked by negative entities.

I personally don't have any experience with this, every time I feel like I am going to leave my body when I'm dreaming, I 'snapback' into it and I think that assuming it's even possible to do, the reason I don't astral travel is that I am subconsciously cautious about the neg entities. On the other hand, I am a lucid dreamer for my whole life so I would not want to be a negative entity encountering me in the dreamscape, it never ends well for any negative thought forms that intrude upon my dreams. Out of my body, on the astral plane floating around? Not so sure. Assuming it's even a real thing.

But I see many people who claim to have experience with astral travel warn about possible attacks also, so maybe best to proceed with caution. JMO-
