Thumbs up a no brainer

1. Galaxy Quest - because I was a Star Trek Trekkie and I adore the cast
2. Groundhog Day - the story of life/reincarnation disguised as a romantic comedy
3. Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? - beautiful cinematography, music, great acting and script adapted from Homer's Odyssey

Could watch these over and over and never get tired of 'em

Great thread idea

Uma - watching Groundhog Day 'again and again' seems apt!!! Great film. Love Bill Murray's acting - so deadpan!
(I am sadly living the same day, over and over - being a carer)

I just looove your idea with the popcorn bullet points.

I thought of another great

Mystery Men - I told Humm about it a long time ago and he said he watched it and said he considered it a classic. It is so funny.

Milagro Beanfield War - directed by Robert Redford - based on a novel - awesome tale.
Beautiful movie - (I read the novel and then discovered the movie). I consider it a gotta see.

Armed and Dangerous - if I haven't said it before - a John Candy movie w/Meg Ryan - very funny.

Catch Me If You Can - Tom Hanks - based on true story about that super-con dude.

It's a Wonderful Life - Jimmy Stewart - you know!

Gilbert Grape - Johnny Depp - one of those 'slow' movies that kept me interested.
And it's got - Johnny Depp!

Thanks for the tip Silvergirl! (i am sure i will be)

Paths of Glory (1957) True story (I think?), superb performances, excellent cinematography.

Some Like It Hot(1959) This is the only guy in drag movie we need.

Conan the Barbarian (1982) Epic sword and sorcery.
