this is a good point but in my opinion only those who have a belief in god in the 1st place would be motivated to explore it further. others would still look for other reasons surrounding your experience no matter how plausible it may seem. i'll give you an example (sorry,personal life again), my mamma passed away recently & since then a few 'happenings' have occured. her bedside lamp has started to come on of it's own accord, the day my dadda & i brought mammas ashes home it started to flicker like crazy as we walked in the door! an ornamental egg my mamma made fell off the fireplace when the vicar came around to discuss funeral arrangements, the smell of perfume/roses every now & again. now to me all that is a sign mamma is still present & letting us know she's about but when i've spoken to others about this i've found they look for other reasons why these things happen.
its human nature, they will always think rationally because most people are afraid to look beyond what they think personally to be true.
