Another lesson learnt

Gradually I am learning to emotionally detach and when to let go and not to expect too much.. part of the empath learning curve.

Basically the pattern I realize, you help a charge in dire need when they are their lowest ebb, and they have listened to your every word and done everything you said and used you as a crutch as they had nothing left to lose.

You get them back on their feet, then they return to their old ways that got them in their predicament in the first place.. did they learn their lesson? Did I do too much to make it easy?

Learning to let go is hard, but is getting easier..I did my job, the rest is up to them.. that isn't how I felt several years ago but now I realize we can put them back on the path, then they decide how to proceed.. some learn, others I have to let them fall in order for them to learn as hard as it is when I can see it and I have to let it happen..
