Green Eyes

Hi

When I was younger I used to go into my mum and dad's room after a nightmare and sleep with them, normal for a child right?

But, I've always remembered seeing in the corner of the room a tall dark shadow, maybe 6ft10-7ft a figure of a man with green eyes, that was all I ever saw, piercing green eyes in the shadow. Thus gaining the nickname Green Eyes.

He's always scared me.

Right well, about 8years ago we got an extension and I moved into that bedroom and he still makes an appearance, not every night, not evern every week, no one else sees him though, just me. He's always stood staring at where the head of the bed used to be, the opposite wall to him.

I have no actual idea as to whether it's male or female but the sense I get is male.

Well, I still go home from Uni and into that room, he still shows up. But last time he made an appearance he had moved, he was staring at me this time and I'm not joking I hid under the covers and cried.

Any advice or whether his characteristics mean anything to you?

Hi Shannon, I won't be of much help, there are a few possibilities, being so tall with green eyes, a Guide? an earthbound Spirit? or from another dimention? You could try telling it to go towards the Light, that it makes you uncomfortable, Don't be afraid. Put a white light of protection around you, maybe someone else would have other suggestions.

Try asking it to leave you alone and go away.
I don't really know, it could be benevolent, but if it makes you uneasy, see if it will concede to your request.

I've not had any personal experience like this but maybe that could help.

I'd suggest trying to make contact with this spirit, perhaps 'he' wants something or has something important to tell you. It's difficult to get a gauge of someone if you can only see their figure and their eyes, so looking closer or talking to him and offering him a way to have a voice of his own, or show you why he is there, would probably give you a better idea of who he is.

In my opinion, if the spirit had wanted to do you harm it would have by now, its had all the chances it can get. So logically it must be something deeper and more interesting.

I don't think he's a demon actually. All Demons I had seen were black entirely and this one has green eyes that are not scary already. When I was little, right beside my bad behind the drywall in other apartment there lived an ugly old woman who terrified all the town by doing nasty things to people. My parents kept telling such stories. Maybe, she was not a witch but I believed. I was scared so much that I couldn't sleep at all. I tried hiding under the covers, not thinking of her, etc. It didn't help until I started imagining scenes of paradise that occupied all my thoughts. That was a relief and excitement and the right thing to do. A miracle happened. We moved to a better place with a better apartment and I forgot about the witch who didn't seem so scary any more.

Friendly green eyed giant? HO HO Ho green giant. I think he is a guide. He is just watching over you.

@missrachel - I have several times hidden and "prayed" he'd go away sort of a quick "please go away, please leave me alone" sort of thing.

@Gracey - Not as such emotion, it's more of a leering feeling.

@Sangress - I agree he'd have many opportunites to harm me if he wished, however I'm not sure harming is his intention. Maybe he just has an overwhelming presence, I don't know.

@teal - No, somehow I doubt that, he's made no attempt to contact me and it's only recently that he's changed his position to actually looking in the direction of my bed, which was moved about 4 years ago? Also, would a spirit guide not appear to me in several places, not just in the bedroom?

Thanks for all your thoughts, it's really helpful for me to think about :) Maybe when I'm home this weekend I'll try talking to him, see if he'll appear at my "command" I haven't tried that, I usually steer clear from him.
