Red Train

I dreamt about a red train travelling behind me, and it was so vivid I had a feeling it was telling me something.
I have looked up explanations but none of them make sense to me.
Just wondering if anyone else has any ideas what a red train represents. Thank you.

Trains in general represent obvious things like your life's journey or travel in general. They also tend to represent specific transitions and often appear when one is considering major changes in one's life or they will be facing them soon. In this case, since the train was red, the color is the key here. Red usually refers to passion, root energy or anger, sometimes extreme anger. As the dreamer, you'll know which the dream represents. Also, since the train is traveling behind you it means that this is either catching up to you or will catch up to you eventually. Typically, what is behind you represents the past, perhaps one you're trying to leave behind. However, it can also mean that you're aligning your energy and that your main engine is catching up to you and aligning with you. Again, you'll know what this refers to and be able to figure it out from there.

Did you want to hop on the train?

Often when I have a dream which I want to know more about I visualise myself back in the dream when I'm awake and I let it unfold to revel the rest of the story to me.

This is a simple and straight forward interpretation and needs no searching. A train means journey and movement towards that. Red symbolizes your desire. Your dream is that you should follow the Desire of your heart with the intensity of a moving train. A train will break through obstacles. That is it.
