Being Dead, But Living On

My best friend from my childhood died a couple years ago. We slowly drifted apart at the end of middle school, I don't know why. I have a lot of vivid childhood memories with him and remember having a close bond when we were very little. I'm 21 years old now.

He was the type of person that always had a smile on his face and had a lively energy about him. It's not like I'm in denial of him being dead or anything, but for some reason I feel like the greater of him lived on. His essence or spirit is in another dimension of the universe, that you could only be in during a deep meditative state.

I had a horrifying experience a few months after he died where I felt like I was going to die as well. During this "trip", it's as if I was in contact with his spirit, or could make sense of what happened to him after he left the physical world. I remember feeling "Hey, it's not so bad. He's just not here anymore. Look, it's him over there!" (I didn't actually see him in physical form), but it was like he was a part of an energy field or something.

And so he lives on. We all live on. The planet breathes and so do we. We become reunited with the limitless energy of life.

I am sorry for your loss and so young. When we are that age life seems limitless. The last thing we are thinking about is death. I know I felt invincible until I got ill and was faced with my mortality. This experience seemed to have a similar impact on you. I agree. I don't think this is all there is. It is scary because we don't know for sure but I trust that we exist for a reason and it isn't to just live and disappear. Seems pointless if that were the case. I am sure your friend is alive and well just in another form. Take care.

Ah, so your friend came to visit you. He would want you to know not to worry about him. He is doing just fine and looks forward to reuniting with you when your time on earth is finished.
