Aaron I used to live in Texas. Their summers start the first of April and last until the end of September with many, many days over 100 degrees (37C) so I've lived in the intense heat.
I like Colorado because we do get hot days but they aren't constant, all summer long.
A swimming pool would be nice. But then my ducks would just jump in and poop it all up. 
I'm sorry dream jo. Ice helps. And maybe some lemonade.

Yuck! I deal in duck poo 24/7/365 so I know how nasty that can be. Right now our mulberry trees are producing so we have black poo everywhere! Not only from my ducks but every blessed wild bird that loves mulberries.

I don't think ducks actually poop in the water. They'd poop all over your lawn though. That's if ducks are anything like geese. I know geese but I don't know ducks.
They do fowl the place up though

There are only two places a duck will not poop, on their nest and near their food. Nothing else is off limits.

Just want to say I'm with the people in spirit in America who are currently marching against child abuse. No more should we see children in cages and babies forced to explain themselves in court without an attorney when all they want is mommy. It's heartbreaking.
