I love a good sense of humor, even if I am sleeping...

Ever awaken still laughing in a dream but not being able to remember what was so funny about it all.

When I reach nirvana will I be laughing?

Seems to me I will awaken from my dream in small increments.

What if you do not find what you are looking for in Nirvana?
Why try to awake from this dream?
Isn't there a reason why we are sleeping?
Maybe we need to sleep.
Maybe our souls need to dream.

Our souls need to dream. I like that notion, it's kinda like the way our bodies need sleep?

I don't think scientists quite know why we dream but there are plenty of theories. Maybe consciousness, the "witness" needs a little downtime to digest.

At the sea bottom
Around an artificial campfire
Waiting for giant Mantas
Holding on to a biggest rock
Trying not to be swept away by currents
The rock fails to hold me still
Scrambling to find different rocks
None are stable nor permanent
What a laugh
Ocean full of Mantas
Of all different kinds
Here I am..
Holding onto a moving rock
With an artificial campfire
Waiting for Mantas to arrive
And here they are
Sights of beautiful giant Mantas,
Glimpse of how they are
So free...
In this vast ocean
As I am becoming one with the rock
At the sea bottom

Zee… this situation…
Why so familiar?
Oh wait, I know why

A metaphor
It is my life
Finding a biggest rock possible
Trying to hold on to a rock
Hoping, it can keep me stable
Maybe even permanent
Just like those rocks at the sea bottom
None are stable nor permanent
All artificial setups
None authentic of my reflection
Waiting for something
When life happens everywhere
Sights of life just in this artificial campfire
Catching a glimpse of life
As the lights become dimmed with time
Myself becoming the rock more and more

So, at this crossroad
Finally,….
Letting go of the rocks
Just letting all go
Setting myself free
Absolutely free from all attachments
Unauthentic self of me
Artificial superficial sanctuaries
Just illusions
Starting a new path
Flowing with the currents
Nothing to lose
Everything to gain
No more just a glimpse of life
But to be the life itself…
To be a Manta
