Maybe the need for meaningful communication is what drags you down.

well... I 'get' that some aliens did a study once, isolated someone completely (even telepathically) from all other humans. The hope was that they could cure a certain disease he had by isolating him and then working on him in isolation... the same way we might take a bird with a broken wing out of the wild for a while to heal it. The intention being, to eventually restore him to his life. But he completely shut down and just died from loneliness. They took the hint and didn't try it again...

Whatever else happens we seem to be social animals, we just cannot (or will not?) survive outside the 'hive'.

Well... I have had some sacred plant based experiences that I would say expanded my mind. The heart is not expanded, only awakened.

I will never forget it... so the lesson was given, gratitude eternality.

Everything we do impacts the soul.

Tbh when I have had visions and seen spirit folk and spent time in worship I have been stone cold sober but I was smoking the magic herb when I started to read my Tarot cards so I carry on that tradition .........

I want to know if anyone here thinks there is a real link between them or it's all just a facade, chemicals in the brain making you think you're having spiritual experiences when really they're just delusions or hallucinations.I'm a drug user myself and I've had many experiences which I would call "spiritual". Mainly, I find that drugs wake one up to certain spiritual truths, even if only about one's self. But this is very different from an experience like astral projection, for example, or OBEs (which can be had on certain drug, DMT for example, or so I'm told). My drug experiences have never given me an experience like this (never tried DMT), nor have I seen angels or heard God speaking to me, nor seen miracles happen right before my eyes--nothing like that--but they've taught me a lot about what "spirit" is and made me a firm believer not only in God but that God is the universe. I don't typically take the delusions I experience while high, or the hallucinations I see, as reality, but I do reflect on the fact that I had these experiences, and I think about what that implies about consciousness and the brain, and my thoughts have lead me to some deeply spiritual insights.I'm wondering if anyone has had similar experience with drugs, and what can they tell me about their authenticity vis-a-vis spiritual reality.

My first psychedelic trips on L S D gave me at the time an incredible new awareness and as I have said before cured me of my first onset of mental health problems.
So with this new awareness and freedom I entered onto a new pathway.
