This. LOL...it's the same with childbirth and with many other traumatic or painful experiences. With war and violence, they call it an aspect of PTSD, the part where your memory is intentially fuzzy, as a blessing.
Yes exactly  you know you've been around the block when you can distinguish so many of the various flavours and textures of pain, physical and spiritual...because it all feels so familiar. And a part of you is like, meh...same stuff, different day...here, just put in on the pile.

A trap?
I have heard that this world is a spirit trap and that we are tricked into entering the light when we leave this body. We are told that it is to right wrongs etc when in fact it is to keep us in a cycle. This is only something I have heard however and I am not sure that I believe this or not. Has anyone else heard anything similar to this?
