That good ole fried chicken, with mashed potatoes with gravy, mac and cheese, and collard greens. This thread is kind of cruel for those of us who can't afford to eat every day you know.

we just did an Oktoberfest at my house this weekend...
started out with german brats boiled in sauerkraut and beer - they were to die for!!
I made Hungarian goulash in my crock pot.
Our friend Gary brought the brats, some pork chops that we also cooked in sauerkraut and beer, spaetzel, & potato dumplings. I added to the feast potato pancakes and apple sauce. and for desserts we had german apple crumb cake, rugelach, and I baked some (frozen) soft pretzels.
it was a yummy, fun, German Oktoberfest!

jb you reminded me of fruit and cheddar cheese. A good sharp cheese. Apples, pears, are my favorites with cheese.
Jojo, next year I expect an invitation. Geez that sounded good.
