I have come to the realization that no matter what, someone will find a fault. Such is the nature of our conditional reality.

At any rate it makes for great discussion.

Thank you for your kind words

Don’t worry LOL I agree with you that there are “gray” areas that are good to think about. I explored a number of these in the Veg forum. And I’m not someone who sees “fault” in what you said at all..

I just clarified myself as a means to explore the topic of ahimsa further, because it does get misunderstood very often, even among spiritually minded folk, and people may find it foolish because “you can’t do it perfectly”, so they may think “Screw that nonsense.. it’s useless anyway.. animals be damned.. and any whiny sensitive people be damned...” So the concept will always require clarification..

And I don’t feel that way about myself, so thanks..

That sounds like the dillema of perfection vs apathy.

The attitude of one group demands continual progress, but never appreciates progress of others. Then people respond saying, "Good is never good enough so why bother trying?"

I think the problem is needing other people to behave this way or that way in order to love them. We end up believing our suffering is their fault and so on and so on..

But we exist in two realities simultaniously.

Physicial reality where we desire improvement (understandably)
Higher reality where total perfection and uncodntional love already exists.

I am by no means an expert at this but, I will say this.
It's impossible to feel unconditional love if you have dependencies on externalities (no matter how reasonable).
